Observing the mountain species in Cambodia is always a great challenge for most birders as there are not any ready infrastructure e.g., access, accommodations, and restaurants. As the rapid development in the country, we finally can go for easy birding at Samkoh Wildlife Sanctuary for some near endemic and endemic species e.g., Chestnut-Headed Partridge, Cambodian Flowerpecker, Cambodian Blue-Robin etc. and many more high elevation species without a strenuous climb at a high sighting percentage with a few stops at some sites to see some rare and interesting species. This trip is suitable for birders with limited walks and photographers with heavy gears. For the moment we would suggest the trip to begin from Siem Reap where we based, and the itinerary is as below:
