Three-day two-night trip to Tmatboey & Florican Grassland
A three-day two-night trip to the Northern Plains Tmatboey with en-route stop at the seasonally flooded grassland – is one of the best birdwatching experiences and capture the national bird Giant Ibis of Cambodia. The early start from Siem Reap we travel east towards the florican grassland to see Bengal Florican, along with rare wintering-Manchurian Reed Warbler and other grassland species including Blue throat, Blue-breasted Quail and Small Buttonquail, etc. After that we will continue to Tmatboey Village, stay at Community Eco-Lodge for two nights, the home to some of the rare or endangered wildlife. The large remaining block of deciduous dipterocarp Habitats is one of the last places where you can see Cambodia’s National Bird, the Critically Endangered Giant Ibis along with White-shouldered Ibis. Tmatbeoy also supports other target species such as Woolly-necked Stork, Black-headed Woodpecker, White-rumped Falcon. The Pale-capped Pigeon is another highlight along with Night-birding is often productive: Spotted and Brown Wood Owls, Collared and Oriental Scops Owl, Brown Fish Owl and Spotted Owlet all being possible viewing at daytime.

Tmatboey offers a basic accommodation by 5 surrounding bungalows, each one containing 2 twin-solar powered en-suite rooms, and its central dinner hall, where a few different dishes of local food will be served for the guests.
