The unique tour, created especially for both bird lover and bird photographer in search of Cambodia’s some of extremely rare or endangered species happening in Cambodia. From the largest water bird colony in SE Asia, Prek Toal which harbors seven species of the global significance: Spot-billed Pelican, Milky Stork, Painted Stork, Greater Adjutant, Lesser Adjutant, Black-headed Ibis, Oriental Darter and Grey-headed Fish Eagles. Lies alongside the perimeter massive Tonle, which support vast majority of the population of the world critically species Bengal Florican and huge numbers of wintering migrants including Manchurian Reed Warbler and available specialties Bluethroat and Small Buttonquail.

Tmatboey Village located in Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary, the large remaining block of deciduous dipterocarp Habitats is one of the last place on earth where the Cambodia’s National Bird, the Critically Endangered Giant Ibis the almost equally rare White-shouldered Ibis supported. The excellent range of DDF species including an amazing of woodpeckers such as Black-headed Woopecker, White-rumped Falcon, Pale-capped Pigeon and Night-birding is often productive; Spotted and Brown Wood Owls, Collared and Oriental Scops Owl. Cambodia’s Vulture Restaurant, Beong Toal, where three critically endangered species of vultures Red-headed, White-rumped, and Slender-billed Vultures come to feed.

What to Expect

  • We will arrive back in Siem Reap around 5 pm.  We can either take you back to your hotel or to another destination of your choice in town.
  • Other things to bring: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
  • CBGA will provide drinking water in a big container to refill, so we request you to bring your own water bottle from home or from your hotel. It is our campaign to reduce plastic waste.

Note: The best time for this tour is from November to May.

Tmatboey offers a basic accommodation by 5 surrounding bungalows, each one containing 2 twin-solar powered en-suite rooms, and its central dinner hall, where a few different dishes of local food will be served for the guests.
